The Urs festival commemorates the passing of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA) and is a grand annual celebration drawing millions of devotees. It is a time of intense spiritual devotion, prayers, and communal gatherings. You can participate by offering Nazr o Niaz, Chader, or flowers, even if you cannot be physically present. Mannat refers to a heartfelt vow or pledge made to God, seeking divine assistance for the fulfillment of a wish. Upon the realization of the prayer, gratitude is expressed. We assist devotees in making and fulfilling their Mannats, including arranging for the cooking of Dargah's Deg, a large communal offering.

When visiting the Dargah, it is advisable to dress modestly, maintain decorum, and be respectful of the sacred space. It is recommended to visit during early morning or late evening to avoid crowds. While there is no entry fee, be wary of unauthorized individuals offering services. We, as Gaddi Nashin (Hereditary Khadims), are here to guide you authentically.

The atmosphere is vibrant with prayers and devotion. You can offer prayers at the Mazar-e-Mubarak, participate in rituals, and soak in the spiritual energy.

Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, popularly known as Khwaja Garib Nawaz, was a revered Sufi saint who came to India in the 12th century. He is considered the founder of the Chishti Order of Sufism in the Indian subcontinent. His teachings emphasized love, compassion, tolerance, and selfless service to humanity.

Sufism is not different from Islam actually these teachings leads person to understand complete Islam. , focused on the inner, spiritual path to God. It emphasizes purification of the heart, intense devotion, remembrance of God (Zikr), and selfless love. Sufis seek direct personal experience of the Divine through spiritual practices and adherence to the teachings of the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Sufi practices vary among different orders but commonly include Zikr (remembrance of God through chanting or recitation), Sama (listening to spiritual music, often Qawwali), meditation, fasting, and deep contemplation. The goal is to gain internal knowledge of purification and achieve closeness to the Divine.

While Sufism is rooted in Islamic tradition, its universal message of love, peace, and spiritual seeking resonates with people of all backgrounds. Many individuals, regardless of their religious affiliation, are drawn to Sufi philosophy and practices. However, formal initiation into a Sufi order typically involves embracing Islamic principles.
